Princeton, NJ June 24, 2004 -- The NSi Equipment Tracking System (ETS) is used by major broadcast and cable companies to archive, manage, ship and locate equipment assets used in the video production process. Bar code technology and powerful tracking software allow for efficient and flexible management of valuable equipment assets (such as Cameras, Lights, Video Decks, etc.).

The system provides fast retrieval access that allows users to immediately track equipment information and location.

The new ETS Maintenance Module (ETSmm) provides detailed information on maintenance history of each equipment asset as well as tracks critical maintenance status and due dates, including next maintenance due date; date of last maintenance and status; notes on equipment maintenance; who performed the last maintenance; date shipped for maintenance and warranty information and any cost related to past and current maintenance. Of particular importance to users is the systems ability to generate a tickler file that helps prevent missing maintenance due dates that could result in equipment failure or loss of warranty protection. In addition the Maintenance Module allows additional data elements and report structures customized for individual client requirements.

While the primary function of the Equipment Tracking System (ETS) is to assist in archiving and locating equipment assets, ETS can be utilized to create an active archiving system for storing and retrieving information on almost any physical asset, including contracts, research analysis, computers, people, and files. Video images and clips can also be included as part of the record.

The system is designed to provide fast retrieval access to allow users to immediately respond to requests for equipment information and location. Multiple data element search criteria and keyword searches allow for flexible data retrieval capability. Bar code technology assists in finding records quickly as well as locating the whereabouts of an asset.

The use of the bar code wand to scan equipment (for tracking location and updating database records) minimizes user data entry tasks. Comprehensive audit reports allow monitoring of inventory and provide detailed information about each piece of equipment.

Integrated with the database system is a Windows label generator for the production of bar code and descriptive labels. The user can create an unlimited number of various label configurations including a combination of bar code symbol, image or logo and fields from the main database.

The Nesbit Systems Inc. Equipment Tracking System provides a consistent, menu driven interface that is designed to minimize training startup time and maximize system capabilities. The system architecture is designed to be flexible and can be adapted to any size operation.
